CLT’s transforming existing buildings

Glendale Gateway Trust, in the market town of Wooler, Northumberland, are a well established CLT already owning and managing four homes and a community resource centre  since 2001.

Their next project involves converting an old library into two affordable homes for rent. The library was transferred to the CLT by the County Council. Once completed the homes will be owned and managed by the Trust.

A great example of the options available to CLTs and councils to deliver affordable housing, not just through new build.
